HAPPY HALLOWEEN

It's Halloween! It's Halloween! The moon is full and bright. And we shall see what can't be seen on any other night. Skeletons, ghosts and ghouls, grinning goblins fighting duels, werewolves rising from their tombs. There will be witches on their magic brooms in masks and gowns they haunt the street. Knock on doors for... trick or treat. Tonight we are the king and queen, for oh tonight it's Halloween!

Happy 20th Jeff!

Last night we had an awesome dinner at Rice Eccles to congratulate Jeff for 20 years at Fidelity Investments. (Others were there to celebrate their 10 and 15 years.) Not only was the food amazing but we got a tour of the stadium (Jeff ran the field), saw the new locker rooms, press box and more. I got to see some old co-workers and catch up with them.
Here we are with Abby Johnson. She will soon be the CEO/president of Fidelity.
What a fun night!!

Happy Halloween

During the torrential downpour yesterday I was driving to McCall’s soccer tournament. I see a garage sale sign and slowed down to see what they were selling. A young gentleman was rushing to bring items in from out of the rain. I see in his hands the “Christmas Story” leg lamp. I stop right in the middle of the street asking if that is for sale and if it works. He tells me yes and I pull in to grab it. He asks me how much I’d like to pay. I thought for a minute and almost said $30. He came back with “How about $5?” OMG….I was so excited and wanted it so bad I simply said “I’ll give you $10 because you are so awesome!!” He must have thought I was crazy since I was beyond giddy! I paid him and drove to the soccer game with the biggest smile on my face. Later in the day I brought it home, dried it off, put in a new light bulb….and wa-la…..I now have the “Fragile Leg Lamp” I have always wanted. It will be up in our window after Halloween and stay there until the first of the year. Drive or stop by if you want!!!

Later that night we had a Halloween party. What great friends we have. Everyone really came through with their costumes and food. We all laughed and enjoyed catching up with each other. Everyone was aw-struck by my $10.00 purchase and wanted to have their picture taken with it. Here are some photos that I took.

Happy Bday Norm!

A few weeks ago we got invited to a very special birthday party for our good friend "Uncle Norm". He turned 70 and wanted to party it up at his favorite bar the “Barbary Post”. It is a biker bar on State Street that he has been going to for years. He is a regular and they adore him.

We had a fantastic time at last night. Norm asked me to dance on the bar with him…..so I did! It was so much fun. I guess now I can check that off the bucket list…ha. Thanks to the Graft family for the invite and all the great times we have had together.

Hanging out with friends!!

This session of soccer is over for a few weeks. It is always nice to have a little break to recoup and rest. This Saturday McCall and her soccer team headed up to the coaches’ cabin in Oakley for a day of fun and relaxation. They sure had a lot of fun riding 4-wheelers, playing in the creek, dancing, eating, watching movies and hanging out being teenage girls. Here are just a few photos that I pulled off the website.
We are so thankful for such great friends, parents and coaches that we have.
Slurpees are always a must when hanging out with friends!

FIRST ANNUAL DIRTY DASH!!!

Have you ever said to yourself, “Marathons are too easy, and Triathlons are for sissies?”
We haven’t either…those races are really hard. Think about it…the first person to run a marathon actually died. HE DIED!...and he probably didn’t even have fun along the way!
Well let us introduce you to a new race in town…THE DIRTY DASH. This race puts all other races to shame. The Dirty Dash is where a military boot camp meets your inner five-year-old’s fantasy and subsequently converts boy to man and then…man to swine.
You’ll need endurance to trudge up mountains of sludge, courage to overcome uncompromising obstacles, a complete lack of shame to wallow in pits of mud and a smile to show through at the end!
So let this 10K obstacle course become your new guilty pleasure. Go solo or with 4 of your dirtiest, filthiest, & uncouth friends. On either accord…you will be able to look at yourself in the mirror and say “I am a Dirty Dasher!”… and then proceed to clean yourself off.

BEFORE PHOTO!!

All the girls got mud in their boobs!
I wasn't about to "swim" in the mud. It was nice and cool.
AFTER PHOTO!!
(Happy Anniversary to my hubby Jeff!!)
2:02 to finish line!!
Thanks to all my running buddies for helping me threw that extremely hard course. It kicked my butt but it was fun. Greg spent the day at insta care getting his eye flushed of mud. He is feeling better now.
