FIESTA BIRTHDAY

Callie wanted a fiesta birthday party this year. (I saved a few decorations from Jeff’s 40th which helped). Here is the cake she wanted. We had friends over today after school for cheesy nachos, making maracas and breaking a cactus piƱata.
I bought mustaches and sombreros
to add to the theme of the party.
The kids were so cute wearing them.
I can't believe that my baby girl is 8 years old.

Thanks to our friends that came
(we missed 2 friends that could not make it)
Are you scared of what Jeff would look like with a mustache?

CONGRATS TO THE UTES!!

Grandma and Papa took Callie down to the City County Building on Friday to celebrate the UTES 13-0 victory. They ran into her cousins Monica and Marisa, got to have hot chocolate, and get some “high 5’s” from some of the football team.
What a fun experience!
Congrats to our UTES!

Visiting our great grandparents!

Another trip to see our great grandparents in Delta. We played games, helped with some housework, had lunch and visited. McCall played a game of soccer
with grandpa and kicked his butt. :)
She showed off her juggling skills too.

Some Utah History....

This month Callie is learning about Utah history at school. She has been talking a lot about the transcontinental railroad and the “Golden Spike”. This weekend Jeff decided it would be fun to take her to see it. She thought it was pretty cool. Her are some of her favorite pictures.

This historic site witnessed one of the most important accomplishments of the 19th century. On May 10, 1869, officials of the Central Pacific Railroad and Union Pacific Railroad met here to drive four symbolic spikes (two gold), celebrating the completion of the first transcontinental railroad.

"My Chick Magnet"....

I found this shirt while we were on vacation in Ilwaco Washington. I couldn’t pass it up and decided to give it to Jeff for Christmas. He sometimes jokes that he is a “Chick Magnet” and “Girls Dig Him”…so it only seems appropriate. He thought it was pretty funny too.
